You guys need to understand some facts; Carbon dioxide is a clear odourless gas. It is in our atmosphere at concentrations of only 385 parts per MILLION (ppm). Carbon is necessary for food creation by plants and animals. Carbon dioxide levels should not DROP. At 375 ppm trees start dying.
Point; global warming has been rebranded to climate change. Why? We are now in a global cooling event.
Key Point; Carbon dioxide and the production of it is a fringe, farce, negligible part of our environment. You have been hoodwinked, ripped off, screwed. Edify yourself.

It’s true that some of the things you can do to convert your house are tax-deductible. I think Admiral Furious mentioned the tax deduction associated with purchasing a hybrid, which is quite nice.

However, a lot of the things mentioned on the show (such as replacing the washer and dryer with front-loaded machines and re-insulating your house with ripped up canvas from old jeans) are expensive and not particularly rewarded by the government, simply because they aren’t contemplated by the government. Other things, like taking your house off-grid, make fiscal sense in the long run but are expensive in the short run and are not rewarded by the government because they are, to some extent, against government interests.

Admiral Furious: I got so mad when I saw your link that I started spewing vitriol without considering if it would make you angry all over again. In the future, I will limit myself to “Wow that was offensive”

There are tax benefits to going green with quite a few things out there. If you have a hybrid car you get a tax benefit as well as you do with solar panels. In fact there is some new technology
